The service that nobody pitches and everyone needs

Every agency in Australia will happily take your money for a launch. Far fewer will pick up the phone at 9:17am on a Wednesday when the checkout is down. Care plans are the unsexy service that separates agencies that built things from agencies that maintain them. We do both — on purpose.

What’s in a care plan

• Daily off-site backups — encrypted, versioned, restorable in under an hour.
• Managed core & plugin updates — tested on staging before they go near production. No rolling the dice with a Tuesday-night update window.
• Uptime & performance monitoring — 24/7, with alert thresholds tuned so you only hear from us when something actually matters.
• Security hardening — WAF, rate limiting, 2FA, login-attempt monitoring, malware scanning. Real controls, not a “security plugin” checkbox.
• SSL renewal and monitoring — because every year, somebody’s e-commerce goes down for a day because nobody renewed the cert.
• Performance budget watch — Core Web Vitals tracking, regression alerts, quarterly optimisation.
• Monthly small changes — 1–4 hours included depending on tier, for the “can you just…” asks that would otherwise need a quote.
• Priority response — same-business-day reply on non-urgent, 1-hour reply on outages.

What’s new in the last 12 months

• AI dependency monitoring — if your site or product depends on an OpenAI / Anthropic / Google AI API, we watch it. Cost spikes, latency degradation, quota breaches, model deprecations.
• Consent & privacy observability — consent-mode v2 health checks, cookie manifest drift, data-flow audits. The “compliant on launch day” problem has become the “compliant every day” problem.
• LLM cost-control guardrails — for any product with an AI feature, we monitor per-tenant usage, throttle runaway prompts, catch prompt-injection attempts in production.
• Proactive AI-search visibility tracking — because sites that silently drop out of Perplexity / ChatGPT Search citations are often the canary for a broader problem.

Care plan tiers

• Essentials — from $220/month. Backups, updates, monitoring, 1 hour of small changes monthly. For standard marketing sites.
• Growth — from $480/month. Everything in Essentials plus 3 hours of changes, quarterly performance reviews, priority response, AI-dependency monitoring if relevant.
• Enterprise — from $1,200/month. 8+ hours of changes, 1-hour outage response, dedicated Slack channel, quarterly strategy reviews, full observability stack.

All tiers are month-to-month after an initial 90 days, cancellable with 30 days’ notice. No auto-rollover. No hidden escalators.

Hosting recommendations (we don’t hold it hostage)

We recommend SiteGround (for most WordPress), WP Engine or Kinsta (for bigger WordPress), Cloudways (for custom stacks), and Shopify directly (for stores). All in your name, on your credit card, managed by us under your account. When you leave us, the hosting stays with you — we hand over, we don’t disappear the keys.

What we won’t do

We won’t bundle “care plan” and “site ownership” into one deal where you lose the site if you stop paying. We won’t charge for SSL (it’s been free since 2016 — anyone still charging is padding). We won’t run auto-updates without testing them first. We won’t host your site on our infrastructure so you can’t ever leave. Ownership is yours; the care plan is a service, not a hostage situation.
